Full-text search across the library, import from Calibre and Zotero, tags and editing a book's details work on the Mac only. Which of these should come to the phone first is exactly what I would like to hear from you.
After Linux and Windows. There is no native Android app and no work is going into it: the two desktop systems on the shared core and bridge come first, then the phone. Android is not dropped; what you would need there first is exactly what I would like to hear from you.
Reading in the browser — the road to Windows, Linux and Android — has been discussed and is on hold: I am building native versions instead — Linux and Windows. It is not dropped, but no work is going into it.
Beresta for Linux is out as a beta. It is a native version, not a browser one, on the same core as the Mac; it comes as two packages, Flatpak and AppImage. The shelf, search, shelves and tags, importing files, Calibre and Zotero, OPDS catalogues, a reader with highlights, sync between devices, export to Obsidian; the MCP server for AI assistants comes in the package. There is still work before a full version — the beta page says what.
Beresta for Windows is out: a native version on the same core as Linux and the Mac, with the same reader engine and the MCP server included. The key is shared with Linux and sold on the site. The installer isn't signed yet.
